Geoffrey Ogram Memorial Research Grant

Geoffrey Ogram was a former board member and co-chair of Lung Cancer Canada’s Advocacy Committee for many years. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010, and despite two years of non-progression, successful surgery and targeted therapy, Geoffrey passed away on April 15, 2016.

Having earned a PhD in Physics, he knew that research into early detection and advanced treatments, including personalized medicine, was on the brink of dramatically improving outcomes for cancer patients. The Ogram family started the Geoff Ogram Memorial Research Fund and Grant in his memory to provide a mechanism for scientists to study innovation and accelerate the application of new knowledge relating to the early detection of lung cancer and the etiology of lung cancer in different demographics and populations.
